Quarry monitoring

A contractor has been commissioned to excavate a quarry. The management would like to have better control over the working hours and the daily output capacity. Although there is a weighing system mounted in the main conveyor belt, the exchange of data between the workers onsite and the headquarters approx. 200 km away is difficult and is often forgotten.

Via the supplier of the belt weigher they became aware of the possibility to connect a data logger equipped with a 4G modem to the existing weighing amplifier. This weighing amplifier transmits every ton a pulse to the data logger and the output is uploaded to Sensori using the cellular 4G communication every 15 minutes. As a result the management has better control on the working hours as every start and stop is visible and the weekly output is more constant and has significant increased.
