Wind monitoring for lift usage
During the restoration of the Domtoren - a historical and iconic church tower in the Netherlands - a wind speed and direction meter was installed on top of the tower. These measurement data were continuously published (in different units like Beaufort and meters per second) on a so called 'Public Dasboard' at Sensori. Public means that the user doesn't have to log in to the Cloud Sensor Platform.
The wind speed determined whether the temporary construction lift along the facade up could be used and the contractor was actively informed by Sensori with SMS messages when the wind speed became too high.
